the sex chromosome which is accountable for ascertaining maleness in human beings and other mammals. The body cells of normal males have one and one x chromosome. The Y is a great deal smaller than the X chromosome and is considered to have merely a small handful of working genes. Therefore, males are much more vulnerable to sex-related illness than females, because they can't counteract any flawed genes carried on the X chromosome.
