BODY IMAGE ASSESSMENT (BIA)

This is done by showing a person a series of images from very thin to very overwight and asking them to pick th eone representative of themselves and the one they would like to be. Also called body image disturbance. See anorexia nervosa- body distortion.

BODY IMAGE ASSESSMENT (BIA): "Joe's body image assessment saw him apick a large person when Joe was rather slim."
