1. Evolutionary genetics. The way a variation is contained that allows an organism to develop in different environments. 2. Neurology. Hypothetical process where the repeated use of a pathway leads to greater ease. 3. Psychology. The way an organism chennels its needs into patterns of gratification that are fixed.
