CAPTURE-TAG-RECAPTURE SAMPLING

Tagging technique used to estimate the size of a population. Such as fish in a lake where a number, say 100, are tagged and let back into the lake. Another 100 are caught and the ratio between tagged and not tagged can be used to estimate the number of fish.
