BENDER VISUAL-MOTOR GESTALT TEST

n. a psychological test specifically designed to assess visual-motor functioning and visual perception skills especially among children. In the copy phase, it requires a participant to draw each of 16 geometric figures on a blank sheet of paper. This is followed by a recall phase in which the instruction is to redraw these figures from memory. Based on resemblance, scores are given on a 5-point scale. First developed by U.S. psychiatrist Lauretta Bender in 1938.
