AFFIRMATION

noun. With regard to various contexts of therapy, specifically CBT, a brief phrase which is spoken again and again by a patient in effort to plant seeds of happy and positive notions, conceptions, and attitudes into one's psyche.

AFFIRMATION: "Affirmations have been touted as being highly influential if used on a regular basis."
