CARTESIAN DUALISM

The position of Rene Descartes that there are 2 distinct and incompatable classes of matter. Extended substance that exists through space and thinking substance that has no extension into space.

CARTESIAN DUALISM: "Cartesian dualism is a theory of Descartes that says the mind could exist if the material body didn't."
