n. a method which manipulates and modifies a person's emotions, attitudes, and beliefs. It utilizes intensely-persuasive, even coercive tactics in order to enforce these changes. Such tactics are often utilized in prisoner-of-war camps and religious cults. See psychological kidnapping.
