Evidence for authentic therapeutic windows was never well mandated; perhaps the best evidence was for the tricyclic antidepressant nortriptyline. Few contemporary psychotropic drugs necessitate therapeutic supervision, even though lithium is a notable exclusion; it has an extremely narrow therapeutic range beneath which it has no therapeutic impact and above that adverse impacts and toxicity dominate. Therapeutic windows are more and more becoming less pertinent in contemporary clinical psychopharmacology.
