AFFECTIVE PSYCHOSIS

a mental illness which takes place in the framework of serious significant depressive attacks or frenzied attacks. The disturbance to the state of mind occurs prior to the signs of insanity, and the insane signs or symptoms happen solely during the course of these attacks.

AFFECTIVE PSYCHOSIS: "Persons affected by bipolar disorder with mania will experience affective psychosis from time to time, much more so if not medicated."
