AROUSAL TRANSFER

an increase in the intensity of one emotion that follows the experience of an initial emotion. For instance, the intensity of love may increase following an intense experience of fear or another strong emotion.

AROUSAL TRANSFER: "Arousal transfer occurred during a scary movie when an individual first felt intense fear, and then the intensity of the emotion transferred to the love emotion - leading him or her to give a partner a hug."
