ARTICULATION INDEX

an index used to measure speech intelligibility within a given operational environment. It reflects and measures the degree of separation between speech and noise.

ARTICULATION INDEX: "The articulation index may be used to measure whether speech is audible or not given the amount of machinery operating within the same environment."
