BEHAVIOR SEGMENT

n. a distinct response which can be linked together with other responses. It is a behavior episode which, when played out in sequence, would reveal a chain of behavior or a behavior pattern. Also called behavioral segment.

BEHAVIOR SEGMENT: "A behavior segment is part of a larger whole, and that bigger structure is the behavior pattern."
