BIRTH RATIO

n. in statistics, refers to the ratio of one type of birth to that of another entity. For instance, take the ratio of single births to multiple births, or male births to female births. See sex ratio.

BIRTH RATIO: "In the male to female birth ratio, typically, there are more males than females born in the U.S. each year."
