BULBOCAVERNOSUS MUSCLE

n. One of the muscles in the perineum which, in men, facilitates the passage of urine and assists in ejaculation. In women, it also aids in urination and strengthens control of the vaginal sphincter. Also called bulbospongiosus muscle.

BULBOCAVERNOSUS MUSCLE: "in males and females, the bulbocavernosus muscle refers to the muscle in the perineum which constricts both the male and female urethra."
