BULBOPONTINE REGION

n. a region of the brain which corresponds to that portion of the medulla oblongata adjacent to or nearest the pons. The pons itself bridges a connection between the medulla and the cerebrum.

BULBOPONTINE REGION: "The bulbopontine region is part of the brainstem too, because this is where the pons and medulla meet."
