CARDIOVASCULAR (CV)

adj. anything related to or involving the heart and its blood vessels. These conditions affect blood circulation as a whole. For instance, carrdiovascular disease involves not only the heart, but also the blood vessels down to the veins, arteries, and capillaries, as well as the organs and systems they supply.

CARDIOVASCULAR (CV): "Anything that relates to the heart, blood, and blood vessels is considered cardiovascular."
