CATEGORIZED LIST

n. a controlled list of items that is used in tests and experiments on memory. The list prompts a free recall of categories known, and the items come from familiar, semantic categories with labels such as names, emotions, foods, or animals.

CATEGORIZED LIST: "It is the semantics (meaning) associated with each categorized list that allow free and easier recall. "
