CAUDAL

adj. pertaining to the tail or to the hind part of the body, such as the caudal fin of fish. It may also denote a part inferior to another and situated on the underside or beneath the body. Compare rostral- also cranial.

CAUDAL: "Equivalent to inferior, caudal means away from the head and going down to the lower part of the body."
