EXCLUDED MIDDLE PRINCIPLE

Logic and philosophy. Principle stating that a statement and its negation must be true. Also called principle of the excluded middle. See contradiction principle.

EXCLUDED MIDDLE PRINCIPLE: "The excluded middle principle is similar to the bivalence principle."
