MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDOSIS (MPS)

is an umbrella term used to describe any of the metabolic disorders of which there are six categories which are marked with excess mucopolysaccharide-glycosaminoglycan (GAG), a complex carbohydrate found in the tissues of humans.

MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDOSIS (MPS): "MPS is a term which is used to describe different metabolic disorders, of which there six (6) different categories."
