NEED-PRESS THEORY

first proposed by U.S. psychologist Henry Alexander Murray (1893 - 1988) who proposed this explanation of behaviour in terms of the influence of both past and present experiences.

NEED-PRESS THEORY: "According to the need press theory, both previous and present experiences will directly influence an individuals behaviour."
