NEGATIVE AFFECT

is an internal feeling or emotion which is typically experienced after one has failed to complete a task or goal, or where they have completed the task but at a lower than required standard.

NEGATIVE AFFECT: "Failing a task can lead to the feeling of negativity, especially if the task involved the field of interest of the individual."
