NEGATIVE PUNISHMENT

Is punishment which arises because a stimulus, circumstance or situation is removed as a consequence of a response from that stimulus.

NEGATIVE PUNISHMENT: "Negative punishment acts as a deterrent to poor behaviour in schools for example."
