typically bind to complementary shaped neurotransmitters and are situated in the membrane of neuron cells. Otherwise known as neurotransmitter receptors.

NEURORECEPTOR: "A neuroreceptor will be found in the plasma membrane of neurons and they're the site for binding with neurotransmitters."
