POSTENCEPHALITIC AMNESIA

a memory disorder which takes place in some people who have recovered from an onset of viral encephalitis. The indicators are inclusive of a mass defect of recent memory and partial amnesia for occurrences that happened prior to the attack, but intellect remains unharmed.
