POSTSCHIZOPHRENIC DEPRESSION

a depressive episode which might come after an acute schizophrenic episode. Postschizophrenic depression is observed variously as a typical occurence when recovering from schizophrenic decompensation, as a mood disruption which was once present and was concealed by the schizophrenic event, or as a side effect to drug remediation for schizophrenia.
