PREADOLESCENCE

noun. the time in childhood coming before adolescence, consisting of a the 2 year span prior to the onset of puberty. Commonly referred to as prepubertal phase- prepubescence- prepubescence.

PREADOLESCENCE: "Our daughter has experienced rapid mood swings and emotional liability during preadolescence."
