PRIMA FACIE

26

The literal Latin translation of Prima Facie is "first face". Prima facie describes evidence that is regarded as strong enough to support a reasonable belief that it is fact, without evidence to the opposite.

PRIMA FACIE: "The existence of the murder weapon in his possession was prima facie evidence that Will had involvement in the assault."
