PSYCHOSIS WITH MENTAL RETARDATION

Psychotic episodes that occur in people with mental retardation. These could be excitement, depression or even paranoia. The conditions may recur. The episodes must be distinguished from behavior or emotional characteristics that are consistent with the developmental state of the individual.

PSYCHOSIS WITH MENTAL RETARDATION: "Psychosis with mental retardation was the diagnosis for David's hysterical reaction to cats."
