RANDOM-INTERVAL SCHEDULE (RI SCHEDULE)

A schedule dealing with reinforcement in which the duration of the interval varies randomly from reinforcement to reinforcement.

RANDOM-INTERVAL SCHEDULE (RI SCHEDULE): "A random reinforcement schedule might have the first reinforcement given 10 seconds after the stimuli, 15 seconds after the second, 3 seconds after the third and so on in a random pattern."
