RANGE OF MOTION (ROM)

The degree of motion a joint can't achieve without damage. For example the degree to which a person can move his arm backward. It is a range limited by physiological factors.

RANGE OF MOTION (ROM): "His range of motion after shoulder surgery was low, but improving."
