In the auditory labyrinth, membrane which separates the scala media and scala vestibuli in the cochlea. Also known as: vestibular membrane.

REISSNER'S MEMBRANE: "Ernst Reissner, a German anatomist, discovered the Reissner's membrane, subsequently named for him."
