RING CHROMOSOME 18

Rare condition wherein one or both ends of chromosome 18 have been displaced, and the ends are joined in a ring formation. Associated with mental retardation, craniofascial dysmorphism, limb deformities, and assorted other defects like hearing or vision loss.

RING CHROMOSOME 18: "They decided to terminate the pregnancy upon learning the fetus had ring chromosome 18."
