SCHIZOPHRENIC DISORDERS

In DSM-IV-TR, these disorders are reclassified as subtypes of schizophrenia. These include catatonic type (see: catatonic schizophrenia), disorganized type (see: disorganized schizophrenia), paranoid type (see: paranoid schizophrenia), residual type (see: residual schizophrenia), and undifferentiated type (see: undifferentiated schizophrenia).

SCHIZOPHRENIC DISORDERS: "Schizophrenic disorders used to be classified as their own types of schizophrenia, but are now just subtypes under the heading schizophrenia."
