STIMULUS EQUIVALENCE

Is the situation when there are two stimuli which both elicit the same response. Stimuli meet the mathematical definition of equivalence if they can he shown to exhibit reflexivity, symmetry, and transitivity.

STIMULUS EQUIVALENCE: "Stimulus equivalence is the same response where both stimuli are different but related to each other."
