TRAPEZOID BODY

a group of transverse nerve fibers inside the pons transporting afferent fibers from the cochlear nuclei to the superior olivary complex and the nuclei of the lateral lemniscus, and efferent fibers from the inferior colliculi and lateral lemnisci to the cochlear nuclei.
