UTILIZATION REVIEW (UR)

an official review of the need and quality of services rendered inside a hospital or clinic or via an individual care provider. Conducted by a specially-appointed team, a utilization review frequently evaluates whether the degree of service rendered is the most adequate to the severity of the presenting dilemma.

UTILIZATION REVIEW (UR): "The utilization review will be completed throughout the first half of next week."
