noun. A precise procedure during which a company or organization analyzes and affirms support of educational resources and curriculums, signifying that such curricula meet or extend beyond previously agreed upon principles.

ACCREDITATION: "It is highly important that students seeking entrance to any higher learning institution make sure those they apply to are accredited."
