ACTIONAL VERB

in semantics, a verb that implies actual physical behavior, typically carried out by a stimulus and generating an impact upon a client, such as hitting or hugging someone.

ACTIONAL VERB: "Actional verbs are often used to describe what a person or group of people are doing- for example She is running, where running is the actional verb."
