ADRENERGIC SYSTEM

a department within the ANS (autonomic nervous system), comprised of receptor spots, which are afflicted by neurotransmitters and drug substances. Most commonly, any and all postganglionic sympathetic fibers are containing in this system.

ADRENERGIC SYSTEM: "Neurotransmitters and hormones alike are impressed upon the adrenergic system to make it function properly."
