n. a masculinizing process largely involving androgen hormones (i.e. testosterone), that results in the formation of male sex characteristics via the impact of the hormones on body tissues and organs. n. see androgyny.

ANDROGENIZATION: "A male undergoing the natural process of androgenization will develop male sex characteristics as a result of androgen hormones affecting body tissues."
