ANNIVERSARY REACTION

refers to an intense emotional reaction to an anniversary event. It is usually negative and most often creates temporary low mood. An example would be a low mood each year on 9/11.

ANNIVERSARY REACTION: "An individual experiences an anniversary reaction every year on the date that his or her mother died. "
