AUTONOMIC CONDITIONING

the process describing the achievement of conscious control over autonomic processes (e.g., heart rate) through biofeedback training, meditation, yoga, or some other type of therapeutic conditioning.

AUTONOMIC CONDITIONING: "A person engaging in autonomic conditioning attempts to exert control over autonomic processes, by for example, practicing yoga."
