AUTONOMIC GANGLIA

refers to the ganglia within the autonomic nervous system. These ganglia include two chains of sympathetic ganglia (see sympathetic chain) and the more peripheral parasympathetic ganglia (see parasympathetic nervous system), which are similar in structure and function.

AUTONOMIC GANGLIA: "Autonomic ganglia can be found in both the para- and sympathetic autonomic systems."
