n. refers to the process of making positive suggestions to oneself for the purposes of improving morale, inducing relaxation, or promoting some type of recovery from illness. Also known as self-suggestion. See also affirmation- autogenic training.
AUTOSUGGESTION: "A person made the autosuggestion that he or she would pass the test to improve his or her morale to study. "
