BEING-BEYOND-THE-WORLD

n. in existential psychology, refers to a closer look into the potential of human beings to transcend their limitations of basically being-in-the-world. Transcending one's existence usually manifests as selfless love. First defined by Swiss psychologist Ludwig Binswanger (1881-1966).

BEING-BEYOND-THE-WORLD: "When a person transcends worldly things, then he or she is ready for the experience of being-beyond-the-world."
