BRAND NAME

n. the trade name of a product by which it is known and by which it belongs to a particular category. In the category of athletic shoes, for example, Nike and Adidas are well-known brands. Associated with these brands is a certain status and some customer expectations such as quality, reliability, and value for money.

BRAND NAME: "In line with consumer goods, a brand name may become so popular that it eventually becomes a household name."
