CACHINNATION

n. a term used to describe loud, unrestrained laughter to the point of being convulsive and hysterical. An abnomal type of laugh, it is often observed in the behavioral pattern of a schizophrenic person.

CACHINNATION: "Disorganized schizophrenia is characterized by extreme, uncontrolled laughter known as cachinnation."
