CALORIC INTAKE

n. the intake of calories that is usually recommended on a daily basis. It is largely determined by a person's consumption of food as divided into nutritional servings and measured in calories. It varies from person to person, depending on age, weight, activity, and other lifestyle factors.

CALORIC INTAKE: "Typically, the daily caloric intake for men and women is estimated at 2,550 and 1,940 calories, respectively."
